Death Valley National Park

Not entirely dead, this park is the largest in the lower 48 and encompasses more than just the famously named valley. It is considered a winter park since the climate is too hot for most visitors in the summer and required us to change into some cooler clothes. The park features the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere, Badwater, at 282 feet below sea level, sand dunes, marble canyons and much more. The hikes we took were mostly short and sweet and though this park is enormous, we did not find too much trash.
